Detoxification diets and fasting
Our bodies detoxify themselves throughout the clock, employing key nutrients from our food. In fact, detoxification It is the process through which toxins are transformed or eliminated from our bodies.
They are classified into two types: those that are produced in the body as byproducts of normal metabolism (endotoxins) and those that come from outside the body and are brought into the system by eating, drinking, breathing, or skin absorption (exotoxins).
Most detoxification programs advise avoiding processed meals and items that some individuals are sensitive to, such as dairy, gluten, eggs, peanuts, and red meat, in favor of consuming largely organically produced vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, and lean protein.
Other programs advocate fasting, either over a longer amount of time or sporadically, however this kind of detoxification can be dangerous for certain people, since it can actually inhibit detoxification processes in the body. This is why numerous health professionals advise avoiding it. Either way, as health coaches, we are not in a position to provide any advice on the ideal diet to follow. All we can and must do is direct you to the appropriate specialists.
Even if you are in good health and want to detox, I will recommend you to a registered dietitian nutritionist who is educated in integrative and functional nutrition and knows the body's detox capacities. They may assist in evaluating various goods and programs and recommending a strategy that will help them achieve their health objectives.
